Our Team

Welcome to Bacchus & Barley, Walla Walla’s premier wine tour and transportation service!

Greg Lovell -Owner, Tour Curator and Transportation Director

After twenty years of working in the Seattle area hospitality industry, my wife, Nancy, and I realized our dream of moving to Walla Walla where we could enjoy a slower pace of life, world class golfing, and unparalleled wine and micro-brews set against the backdrop of a picturesque small town.

I have loved all things wine for many years and attended the South Seattle Community College Enology program. I’ve had the privilege to work for several wineries and be a part of the wine making process from the vineyard to the bottle, however, my ultimate passion is curating experiences for others to enjoy all that Walla Walla has to offer – in wine and beyond.  I tailor each and every experience to meet and exceed our clients’ expectations, for both the serious oenophile and the novice just beginning to fall in love with wine. I look forward to meeting you and welcoming you, your family and friends to Walla Walla.

Nancy Helms-Lovell - Experience Manager

Hi, I’m Nancy. After an amazing career in hotel management that spanned 3 decades, I found myself drawn to supporting the “family business” and channeling my passion for marketing and hospitality . Walla Walla is a special place and we feel fortunate to call it home. In our three short years here, we’ve developed a profound attachment to this city and its people, forging meaningful connections along the way. We look forward to touring with you and to ensuring a wonderful time is had by all!

John Litten - Driver Guide

After four decades of owning and leading a prominent tour company in Sitka, Alaska, John has come back to settle in Eastern Washington, his childhood home. “For my entire career, I’ve had the privilege of connecting with people from across the globe, immersing them in local cultures and the charm of small-town life,” he reflects. “Now, I’m excited to share the delights of Walla Walla and our esteemed wine industry with you. It promises to be an educational day and a ton of fun.”
